The impact of the recession is felt across all industries all over the globe. Only those who are able to keep themselves afloat in these very trying times will survive. And one way to survive this economically challenging times is to keep communication lines open and sharing of ideas.construction chemicalshttp://www.constructionchemicals.co.uk/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5947607831466076988.post-13936840113955433232010-01-22T15:35:42.570+00:002010-01-22T15:35:42.570+00:00Spot on; we need a worldwide arrangement and cap a...Spot on; we need a worldwide arrangement and cap and trade is very difficult to extend internationally. The world will never be able to agree how to share the pain of cutting emissions or the revenue from cap and trade or carbon taxes. But there is a simple and potentially popular alternative solution.

In a recent Times Online live debate see
http://timesonline.typepad.com/science/2009/12/live-debate-after-copenhagen-where-to-now-for-the-climate-debate.html
85% voted that "Fossil fuel companies should be obliged to sequester an increasing fraction of the carbon content of the products they sell to avoid dangerous climate change". For details on why this proposal would be easier for all countries to agree to than cap and trade or a carbon tax, how it would encourage energy saving, renewables and nuclear, how it would be implemented and how it would stop global warming, see my website at http://jemsavestheplanet.blogspot.com/Jem Cooperhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03318806526167072946noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5947607831466076988.post-25669825720656803862009-09-28T09:55:13.968+01:002009-09-28T09:55:13.968+01:00Anyone interested in the ICIS Top 100 Chemical Com...Anyone interested in the ICIS Top 100 Chemical Companies a free PDF is available for download on ICIS connect at:

http://www.icis.com/icisconnect/groups/icis-top-100-chemical-companies/default.aspx

Many thanks

Lara McNamee
Assistant Intelligence Editor
ICIS news www.icis.com

Tel: +44 20 8652 3223
Fax: +44 20 8652 3227
Email: lara.mcnamee@icis.comLara McNameehttp://www.icis.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5947607831466076988.post-5714871586323747132009-09-10T09:49:25.646+01:002009-09-10T09:49:25.646+01:00Thank you to shareThank you to sharenike shoeshttp://www.ec21baba.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5947607831466076988.post-9577752710989741672009-07-23T17:18:03.182+01:002009-07-23T17:18:03.182+01:00I agree. The Middle East delays continue with perh...Hi Andy

The Middle East delays continue with perhaps only around 1m tonnes of annualised new PP capacity on-stream compared with the 2.77m tonne that had been planned at this stage in 2009.

In the projects-building frenzy of a few years ago, when everyone took advantage of the easily available finance, labour and equipment manufacturing resources were overstretched.

Project costs shot up to to the point where, perhaps, choices had to be made on where to spend budgets. This, I am told, is behind some of the delays.

Careful planning at every stage, I guess, is the solution - and having the ability not to rush into decisions for the sake of keeping up with economies of scale and market shares.
Cheers
John RichardsonJRhttp://www.icis.com/blogs/asian-chemical-connections/noreply@blogger.com
